We are collecting dresses through April 1st at all 43 locations.
“Money has always been something that we only had enough of for food and rent. As soon as senior year came, I was not as excited for prom as others in my grade. I would get emotional because I knew I wouldn’t be able to buy a dress. Hearing about Belle of the Ball made me excited for prom. I felt beautiful in the dress I chose. I appreciate this organization so much!” – Sadie Stephens, Belle of the Ball 2016
Belle of the Ball, a program of Caring Partners, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, was formed with a mission of providing prom dresses and related accessories at no charge to high school junior and senior girls who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend their school’s prom.
Unlike other dress collection drives, this program culminates with a day-long boutique in Boston, MA. Hundreds of volunteers come together to provide a magical experience for the qualified participants. The program has grown from outfitting fewer than 100 girls on Boutique Day, to inviting over 600 young ladies for an exciting day of prom shopping, free of charge.
At its core, Belle of the Ball is a powerful personal experience for each young woman who attends. All students invited to Belle of the Ball are referred by social service agencies, schools, or approved referral partners. Like Sadie, many students often come from difficult financial and emotional backgrounds. Belle of the Ball provides them with an unforgettable, all-inclusive shopping experience that makes them feel beautiful and confident about themselves.
