Coats for Kids and Belle of the Ball

We believe that we can provide the most benefit to the communities we serve by leveraging the resources of our company to assist those in need. This is why we sponsor two programs, Coats for Kids and Belle of the Ball.

 

Each fall, we collect, clean and distribute more than 60,000 winter coats for kids, babies, and adults. More than 250 schools, over 300 companies, clubs and organizations and thousands of individuals donate new and good quality coats and over 90 social service agencies make sure the coats get to those in need free of charge.  We are now entering our 17th year making sure “anyone who needs a warm coat will have one.”

 

“The Prom” is the special occasion for young women in high school. Yet, there are many who stay away because they can’t afford to buy a dress, shoes and accessories. For these girls, Anton’s Belle of the Ball each spring makes sure they enjoy a magical prom night.

Whether it’s receiving coats and prom dresses, cleaning and pressing them or assisting with the distribution, all of our employees are involved in Coats for Kids and Belle of the Ball. Since these programs began, one in 1995 and the other in 2005, Anton’s has contributed more than $9 million in clothing care services.

Our commitment to both programs goes far beyond what is typically done in the drycleaning industry. In addition to cleaning the coats and prom dresses, we take responsibility for all aspects of the program and coordinate an extensive partnership program to ensure that the coats and prom dresses reach those most in need.

Both programs are highly recognized and have received local, state and national awards.
